TREAT YO SELF TRUFFLES
Treat Yo Self Truffles
A sweet treat for some well deserved indulgence that is relatively quick and painless to make. All you need is cream and, our favourite word, chocolate…
Ingredients:
150g milk chocolate (or dark chocolate, to your taste)
150ml double cream
Cocoa powder/icing sugar
Equipment:
Pan
Knife
Bowl
Spoon
Recipe:
1. Chop your chocolate in to small pieces and place into a heatproof bowl
2. Measure out your cream into a medium pan and place on the hob on a medium high heat
3. Keep heating your cream until it reaches a rolling boil (bubbling constantly)
4. Once at a rolling boil pour over your gorgeous chunks of chocolate and stir until the chocolate has melted into the cream and you have one creamy consistency
5. Leave your bowl of joy to cool in the fridge (a few hours) until the mixture is firm but malleable
6. Put some cocoa powder into a bowl and layout a plate to place your finished truffles on
7. Use a teaspoon to spoon out a small amount of the mix and shape it into a ball
(pro tip dusting your hands in some of the cocoa powder before can make this less messy!)
8. Roll your truffle ball in the cocoa powder to create a coating and then place on the plate
(you can also roll the truffles in other things such as chopped pistachios or hazelnuts for a different finish)
9. Keep going until you have made all of the truffles
10. Sit back and enjoy your well earned treat gorgeous!
